Oliver Baumann insists he accepts any role with Germany, whether it be first-choice or back-up.

Hoffenheim goalkeeper Oliver Baumann, 34, has revealed he would be open to any role with the German national team in order to be part of the German squad for the 2026 World Cup next summer.

Baumann has been trust by แทงบอล UFABET ราคาดีที่สุด ไม่มีขั้นต่ำ coach Julian Nagelsmann and chosen to be the first-choice goalkeeper for the German national team ahead of Alexander Nubel, as Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is recovering from an injury.

‘I always accept any role, whether it’s supporting Marc (Andre ter Stegen) or Manu (Neuer) as the third-choice goalkeeper or now as the first-choice goalkeeper.’

“I’m grateful to be able to help the team. I definitely want to play, but the World Cup is still too far away. I’ll stick to my principles and just want to help the team. If I can do that, I’ll do my part. I don’t want to look too far ahead, but as I’ve said many times, I’m very proud and grateful to be playing,” Baumann said.

Meanwhile, Nagelsmann once again confirms ter Stegen’s undisputed spot. “Marc is on the right track. If he fit, he’ll be our number 1. Otherwise, the battle for the number 1 spot will be open for all goalkeepers.” said Germany’s head coach.
